About me

Hi my name is Gavin, 22, multi-disciplinary designer, art director, creator and innovator with a passion for forward-thinking design. I enjoy all aspects of graphic design, but I believe my strengths lie within branding, advertising, motion graphics, and UX/UI. I love nothing more than being set creative challenges that push me out of my comfort zone. I take great pride in watching my projects develop from concept to completion.

Graduated from Ulster University, Belfast studying BDes Hons Graphic Design & Illustration. I began my design journey at Ulster University, Magee studying BDes Design until I completed a year working in the industry as an in-house designer for SMI Ltd. Once I completed my year in industry, I joined the Bdes Graphic Design & Illustration course in Belfast, graduating with first-class honours in July 2019.

In August 2019 I began a 3-month graduate programme as a graphic designer for The ASO Co (part of Jellyfish), a specialist agency based in London which focuses on app store optimization. During my time there, I designed optimized creative assets for the app store such as icons, screenshots and feature graphics for a variety of brands including Facebook: Lasso, Duolingo, Lyst, and Student Beans.

Outside of design I also enjoy travelling, photography and visiting many coffee shops, as caffeine is the primary fuel behind my designs.
