Dear Sir/Madam,
Please consider me an applicant for your Creative Artworker position.
When I saw the job description on creativepool, I was excited as it perfectly matches my background, talents and career goals. Creating brochures gives me a great deal of achievement and job satisfaction. This is because I take great pleasure in the various stages of creating each brochure. From making sure it fits in with the clients needs to seeing the physical end product that people will hold in their hands.
I currently work as an Artworker in Surrey, just outside Guildford where a large proportion of what I do involves creating brochures. I have a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design with an excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
In my current role, I deal with many aspects of design and layout. I work closely with the Senior Director on multiple page brochures, following brand guidelines, regularly checking copy and making amendments throughout various media. I deliver my projects to a high standard whilst meeting strict deadlines. I frequently deal with a wide range of imagery which requires complex cut-outs and retouching to achieve the specific aim of each brief. I have excellent typography skills and am confident in my knowledge of pre-flighting files and getting every element of each job ready for print.
I take great pride and pleasure in the design work that I create and I always strive to deliver an effective, focussed and on-target product that fits my clients needs and goals. I am a creative, reliable and hard working designer who can work well in a collaborative team environment or individually. I know that excellent communication skills are fundamental to this role; not only in a team capacity but more importantly, in communicating the desired message through my work.
My career goals are to continue to learn and grow as an Artworker whilst utilising my creativity, knowledge, education and people skills to benefit my employer. I am particularly keen to broaden my skills in brochure design. For these reasons, I believe that I would be an asset to your company.
I look forward to hearing from you to further discuss my qualifications, goals and portfolio of sample work.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours faithfully
Gary Rudall
