About me

"Semi-retired" as of July 2023, which means I have a lot of time to pursue my own projects. I have four books self-published, three held and distributed by in the . -- comprising two on Sixties rock music centering on the Beach Boys (plus another more general on Amazon) and "Strangers In Our Own Lands", a personal story of family dislocation; the other self-published locally, a memoir of the 1960s as a kid in the Auckland western suburb of Te Atatu, with a sociological bent. A novelised play, "A Machiavellian Plot", whose manuscript is held in the Vatican Archives, Rome; and the manuscript of "A History Of Waitemata" held in the reference section of Henderson Library, West Auckland.
I work on short stories continuously, and have two pet long-term projects: three short novels on street life in the Auckland .d., and a screenplay in development on the early Sixties rock'n'roll scene in Auckland featuring competition (and co-operation) among Samoan, Tongan and Maori factions.
