Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Graduate / Account Executive position advertised on the Creativepool website.

I have an upper second class honours degree in marketing, with eleven months experience in web-based marketing and print advertising.

My work as a marketing assistant for a Jaguar car specialist involved the development and updating of their website using a content management system. I also worked closely with the company director to generate new marketing ideas that could be used within the website and premises. Another part of my role was to liaise with a contracted marketing communications company in Leicester through email, phone and face-to-face meetings, concerning the production of a video. I was also responsible for creating and updating their social media tools such as Facebook and YouTube.

As an advertising assistant for Forest YMCA I worked on creating a print advert for their summer day camps. I was responsible for generating the promotional strategy in the form of a client brief for a freelance designer. In addition, suggestions I made to the client concerning the layout of the advert, in order to be more effective in attracting the targeted audience, were included in the final print advert. This was a successful campaign, as the target was to generate fifty new customers and sixty seven new customers were gained. The lifetime value created by this campaign was £32,000 with a campaign cost of £10,000.

I feel I would be suited to this role as I have a keen interest in digital media, as it is a dynamic, evolving and exciting industry to work within. I also have effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure. I am highly self-motivated, creative and a confident speaker with excellent people skills. Finally, I am familiar with Adobe Photoshop and all Microsoft Office applications.
