Experienced Digital Marketing Manager and Email Marketing specialist, with 12 years experience of marketing in the live events, conferences and exhibitions industry.
Currently, as a freelance Email Marketing Consultant, I am working with brands and companies to help them improve their email channel. I focus on clean, mobile responsive design and A/B testing to help marketers get the best return on investment for their email marketing spend. It's a fantastic position to be in as I'm working with a variety of brands and products and sharing my learnings across multiple industry fields.
In my previous role at Haymarket Media Group I oversaw the digital activity for a number of events and was directly responsible for managing the digital marketing team working across those brands. I was responsible for the design, build/coding, test and sending of all email marketing communications for the company's Exhibitions portfolio. I also consulted on design of HTML emails for the magazines and subscriptions department, as well as build/code a number of their email campaigns, including promotional campaigns around , which include multiple layers of dynamic content and personalisation.
I am passionate about email marketing, which I believe to be more important than ever in the mobile generation. More and more people are second-screening, checking emails at bus stops etc, which means that email marketers have the power to engage with people whenever and wherever they are. If you focus on data segmentation, making your emails mobile responsive, simple and effective design, then test test test your subject lines and send times there's no end to what you can achieve through email marketing ... just don't send people stuff they don't want!
