Dear Sir/ Madam

I am a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University and have just finished a degree in Furniture & Product Design. I have a strong interest in the design industry, in particular contemporary and modern furniture design.

Morgan Contract Furniture first came to my attention during my second year of studying at university, and certain products such as the Boston stool, the City stool and the Sienna stool were included in my research on existing products, for a project brief on Cafe & Bar seating. Since then I have constantly returned to Morgan Contract Furniture for inspiration and insight into contemporary design. While researching for furniture related design jobs, I instantly recognized the company name on the job vacancy of Designer, which is why I am writing to you today.

I feel I am a very strong and confident team player, and due to having worked for the retail chain ASDA for 5 years, I am extremely comfortable with meeting and engaging with new people. In my free time I continue to find ways in which to improve my skills in both designing and making furniture, and I am very confident with drawing and CAD work, having used software such as Solid works, Rhinoceros and Adobe Photoshop for many years now. I am eager to learn as many new skills and techniques as possible, and I am willing to put in the time and effort when ever needed.
