About me
In my current role as senior graphic designer at St George's, University of London I am responsible for the following:
To liaise with clients on specific requirements independently or in consultation with the design manager to achieve the results requested. To supervise other staff members in the department in the design and production of printed material.
To perform a responsive, professional graphic design and illustrative services to all users of the graphics department and to support production staff within the department.
Using available equipment and programmes to design and illustrate a wide variety of printed output to include high profile prospectuses, promotional materials, posters, booklets, magazines, newsletters and leaflets.
Follow procedures for the management of digital files to ensure the protection of data and conform to the data protection act and patient confidently.
Use email and web based systems, which are used to send files into the department for printing.
Responsible for two members of staff and to cascade professional information gained from courses, workshops and seminars attended.
To be a team player with the ability to work independently of the design manager, but maintain informed communication within the section and use skills from other sections within the media services department such as the in-house photography, television production and reprographics departments.
