About me

I am a designer and lecturer with over 15 years industry experience and specific expertise in branding, editorial and art direction. I spent 7 years in consultancy roles with global brands such as Huawei, and Samsung. I co-founded HONDO alongside María Vioque Nguyen.

I have more recently collaborated with leading agencies and brands such
as Koto Studio, Saatchi & Saatchi, DesignStudio, Astrid Stavro Studio,
Abu Dhabi Media Office, Quim Marin Studio, Arillatype, CoType, Clap Studio, Beattie and Dane, Adobe, Lightricks, Microsoft, Coca Cola and Inditex. I art-directed Anima magazine in close collaboration with Dejan Sudjic.

I created the visual identities for companies such as Bede, Iwoca, Izal, Renovai, Rehlat, Li3ib,
Al Jraiwy, Chance, Anima Magazine, Araxa, Heiter Magazine, among others.

I was awarded LAUS ADG-FAD - Bronze, Barcelona, Spain; D&AD Awards - Graphite Pencil, London, UK; European Design Awards - Gold, Luxembourg; BPIF Awards - Shortlisted, Oxford, UK and AIGA, 50 Books 50 Covers, New York, EEUU.

I represented Spain in the International Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean (BJCEM) held in Skopje, North Macedonia in 2009. My design has been published in international books, magazines and platforms including Monthly Design Magazine, Idn Magazine; Victionary; The Design Kids Global; Adobe; and has been exhibited at "Show us your type" (Brief Festival, La Fiambrera Gallery Madrid Spain, 2015), "36 Days Expo" (Barcelona Spain, 2017) and "Give me 5" (Madrid Spain, 2018). I was part of the jury at ANUARIA (Spanish National Graphic Design Awards) in 2017 [XXIV edition].

I have a BA in Fine Art from the University of Salamanca (Spain, 2007). I completed the Erasmus graduate scheme at Academia di Belle Arti di Brera (Milan, 2006) and went on to study a Masters programme in teacher training at the Universitat Politècnica in Valencia (Spain, 2008). I have a. Masters degree in Graphic design and communication from ELISAVA (Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona Spain, 2008). I completed the Leonardo graduate scheme in The Netherlands at Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam, 2009) & The Royal Academy of Art (KABK, The Hague, 2009). I am a Fellow (FHEA) at the University of Greenwich (London United Kingdom, 2019).
