About me

I've had a love for arts and crafts from a young age, but when I started studying Graphic Design I quickly realised that I found something that I'm truly passionate about. I completed my B.Tech degree in 2004, specialising in corporate identity, and decided to gain experience abroad for a better international understanding of the industry.

After finding my feet in London, I joined Select Model Management in a junior design role. This gave me the chance to work on multiple projects and to tight deadlines. After almost 7 years I was leading the art department and learned a great deal about the fashion industry whilst broadening my experience in many disciplines such as advertising and retouching.

During my free time I also took on various personal clients and started focusing on branding for international start-up companies as well as advertising and internal marketing for the Gordon Ramsay Group.

I then joined the Retail Branding & Information Solutions team at Avery Dennison for a freelance contract of 5 months. I worked on various projects for premium fashion and retail clients, whilst learning cutting-edge techniques in point-of-sale branding solutions.

It was when I returned to Cape Town in 2015 to join the creative team at Colourworks as a Senior Designer that I found my true calling. Colourworks specialises in strategic brand experiences through corporate events and marketing for some of South Africa's largest companies. The team has a vibrant and infectious energy and we push ourselves creatively on a daily basis to deliver extraordinary experiences through meaningful work.
