About me

Before coming to London three years ago, I've worked as producer, director, assistant director and editor on several media and film productions. In Portugal I directed and edited short films, music videos and corporate videos.

In Brazil I've worked as assistant director in leading productions in Rio de Janeiro, including the highly successful Brazilian feature: “O Primo Basílio”.

Since I moved to London I've moved to On-line Media Production, working in leading world leading companies. I've started Assistant Video Producer at the Video Department of CBS Interactive, the largest online-only publisher in the UK. I had a multi-tasking role in the company including producing, recording, editing and publishing videos and podcasts for the interactive platforms of all the core brands of the company, such as Cnet.co.uk, Silicon.com, Gamespot.co.uk and TV.com.

I then worked as Video Producer/Producer at Positive TV, a London-based online TV. There I honed my research and editorial skills, seeking compelling and inspirational content on a daily basis, finding stories that would engage larger and newer audiences. I also worked as project development manager, responsible for the content creation of a digital documentary on sustainable transportation.

More recently I've been working as Creative Producer at Flixmedia Lda. - a global leading company the provision of online content solutions for manufacturers of consumer goods - including Microsoft, HP, Philips, Panasonic and Toshiba. It offers the world standard production of online product videos (QuikClips) and the distribution of manufacturers own content to the Flixmedia Global Distribution Network.

I personally believe that despite the fast social and cultural transformation in the digital era, the digital media is still deeply rooted in good storytelling: good stories with high production values that span online, film, TV, radio and gaming. So to take an active role in this current media future is not only an incredible opportunity but also means being part of a challenging collective intelligence.

Nevertheless my interest in the new digital era and the unlimited possibilities of the cross media world exceeds my work experience. I always try to be up to date with new tools and platforms and surround myself with events and information that enrich my already tech-savvy personality. For the last two years I attended Power to the Pixel Digital Forum at The Times/ BFI London Film Festival - a ground-breaking forum that brings together the leading innovators who are changing the way independent film and media is financed, created, distributed and reaches audiences. Since I know the director and producer of Power to the Pixel I had the opportunity to follow closely its development, network with the speakers, having privileged access to leading digital contacts.
