About me

Hello everyone,

My name is Francisco Mugica but people call me Pako.

I have completed over 8 years within the design industry; a passionate and successful UI/UX Designer with a high level of expertise in problem-solving, user-centered design principles, visual UI design, UX design, product development, agile scrum, user testing and front-end development. I can create engaging, functional and beautiful interfaces from low fidelity mock-ups to pixel perfect designs.

At Dixons Carphone (Currys PC World: one of the biggest eCommerce retailers in the UK) is where I gained most of my UX/UI experience. I was the lead designer for their B2B site - . I used to liaise with other members of the UX team to come up with a better customer journey: from when the user lands on the homepage/landing page until they see the payment screen - all of this was achieved via brainstorming, wireframing and user testing. I was in charge of the whole site re-design and after it went live, it created a great impact on sales - making it it's biggest Black Friday ever plus a revenue increase of +2M year on year. Other projects included designing pages for Apple, Samsung, Acer, etc plus UI/UX improvements across the site. I used to work remotely 2-3 days a week.

Currently at Socialicity Ltd I work closely with ASP.NET C# and react developers, the marketing team and the management to take web/mobile app projects from concept through to completion. This involves: sketching, wireframing (Balsamiq or NinjaMock), prototyping (InVision), user testing, design (Sketch/Photoshop) and front-end development before handing it in to the developers - who are based in Malaga, Spain.

On personal note, I love music and traveling.
