About me
I recently completed a Master of Studies in English Literature at the University of Oxford. Previously, I attended the University of York, where I read English and Related Literature. Whilst studying, I became Literature Editor of Unknown Magazine and later the Co-Editor-in-Chief. I solicited creative writing and literary criticism, edited successful pieces, and proofread them for publication. I also published reviews, interviews, articles, short stories and poems in student newspapers and journals. Working as a publicity intern, and subsequently as an editorial intern, at Simon and Schuster, I developed my marketing, copywriting and proofreading skills within a publishing environment and felt at home in this industry. Now, as I approach the end of my position as Assistant to Examinations Secretary for the English Faculty in Oxford, I am seeking entry level roles in publishing houses and literary agencies. I am also interested in copywriting and freelance reader or editorial positions.
