About me
My name is Alessandra and I'm a graphic designer and illustrator freelancer based in London (40 John Aird Court, W2 1UY), I have more than two years of experience working both in agency and in companies.
In my last employment (Gas Jeans, Grotto S.p.a. from october 2011 to october 2012) I was working as a graphic designer both for the inside-outside communication of the company, both in digital and print graphic design. My daily duties went from company interactive presentation to design newsletters, from editing photographies and video to catalogue/brochure design, from projects technical material to their branding. Due to the very short dead-line of the projects and to the amount of works of my previous careers, I'm used to work on multidisciplinary fields in a problem-solving and collaborative atmosphere. As the main designer I cured every single step of the graphic projects from their concept to their very realization, both for digital and print design, technical and promotional materials, always paying attention to the best technical solution in printing and digital publication. I have an excellent experience on Illustrator (especially for vectorial illustrations and executive files preparation), Photoshop (photo-editing and pixel graphics) and Indesign (editorial print - layout design - pdf presentation).
Before of working for Gas Jeans I have been working as a graphic designer for my University, first as a photographer and then as an assistant teacher (in Venice), and for a graphic design studio called Neutrostudio, in Genoa.
Along with my professional experience I developed a personal high standard photography ability and good skills in vectorial illustration. Moreover my technical skills as a graphic designer in working with Adobe Software are professional for what concern Indesign/Illustrator/Photoshop/Flash and proficient in Premiere/Final Cut /Acrobat/Dreamweaver.
