Fernando's work

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Fernando Mello joined Fontsmith in the summer of 2008. His background in multiple visual areas-namely architecture, typography, graphic design and illustration - influences his search for creating innovative and original, yet functional and well-constructed typefaces. He was approved with a distinction from University of Reading's MATD in 2007 and holds an "Expert class Type design" 2013 diploma with great distinction from the Plantin Institute of Typography. Fernando is now based in São Paulo, Brazil, but travels to London occasionally.
