About me
My name is Federica Zama, I graduated at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design with a degree in Architecture ( BA Arts, design and enviroment)+ RIBA1, then I went back home to work in an architecture practice specialized in interior design of shops and bars. In 2010 I established my own practice to develop some projects I started at the college and to focus on urban and product design.
I believe the learning process is endless. School is the first of my tutors, then the community and the city is where I find inspiration. I use the term "craft" because each project has to be brought up "In love" , as Georgina Goodman told me with her hand-made shoes. The design is the final step of a body of research, drawings, words, sweat and passion. For this reason I decided to enrol myself on an MA in Product Design at ISIA (Institute of Industrial Design) based in my city Faenza to increase my skills in graphic/illustration and product design but also to keep working on my own projects in collaboration with the Council.
Recently I collaborated full-time with the owners of an interior design selling luxury Italian brands. My role was to organize an event to celebrate 10 years of activity of the shop. ( graphic, promotion, catering ...) but during the months I dealt with the clients and designed their homes to make them happy and to sell furniture.
I just got my MA first honours degree in communication and product design and it is time for me to go back to UK with my boyfriend. On the 3rd of August I will be back in my studio in West Hampstead.
I am 26 years old, a friendly and reliable girl, who has a sincere passion for design. I am enthusiastic, outgoing, very punctual and polite. My communication skills and my design attitude make me a good candidate for being part of your team. My multi-fields experience , as fashion assistant, as seller, as architect, as product/interior designer, also gave me a broad knowledge of human behaviours and brands/materials.
