About me

I'm Faye, I am 22, and I have a life long obsession with Design. It is said that when we meet a person, we immediately and often unconsciously assess him or her for both warmth and competence. So one must hope you will not make these judgements in writing, because there is much more than meets the eye here.

I have spent the last few years of my life in

Manchester absorbing its Design knowledge and building on my confidence in industry practice. I like to

challenge conventions, escape the norm, un-obviously avoid the obvious. I am about crazy ideas, thinking, really knowing a subject before you tackle its visuals, as a fairly wise man once said "If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.".

I am an outgoing individual, I can conduct myself well as an on my own, but also work well with a team. I've spent a lot of my life doing events and charity work so have developed very good organizational skills, which can be applied to any field of work. I am polite,

attentive and very driven to succeed in whatever I do. I'm Faye and'I'm anything but Vanilla'

Sector Experience

Following my graduation back in June 2012 i have been working on a freelance basis for various, events and companies. My main creative position at the moment is as in house creative graphic designer at Redfoot shoes in Manchester. My work here has consisted of web design, flyers and posters, branding, creative concepts, product and packaging design, pos design, visual merchandising, marketing and promotional concepts and i also do all the in house fashion photography for the company. I recently left my creative positions designing for manchester Hip Hop night WNBT, during my 8 months designing there i created flyers and poster concepts with illustrative themes including collaborative work with sports brand 'Gola'. I am also working on some independent projects including a publication in which i am working with several other contributors to create a book based on an electronic music sub-genre.
