About me

As you will see from my C.V. after graduating in 2004, I started work as a Copy-Editor at Newgen Imaging Systems Pvt Ltd, India, where I stayed for 11 months. Here I was assigned to a particular publisher/journal during the training period to ensure familiarity with house style and consistency. After which had hand-on experience of editing of U.K. and U.S. books and journals. The books varied from scientific to literature. I also interacted with clients to establish working practices and resolve uncertainties of stylistic treatment as they arise. In Addition, I discussed and documented feedback from clients along with all proofreading corrections and communicated with many different sorts of people both internally and externally and developed excellent communication skills.

I left this role in May 2005 and worked as an Associate Client Manager at R R Donnelly & Sons (formerly known as Office Tiger Database Management Systems Pvt. Ltd). This was a busy role with a lot of responsibility, a high workload, and tight deadlines required me to juggle a lot of things at one time. I was responsible for 3 different Print Publishing teams and a team of 20 Quality Supervisors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, in charge of the quality of work delivered to the client at any given point of time which included proofreading and editing of content.
