About me

I am a an Assistant Producer currently looking for opportunities in development and especially to self shoot as I am looking to Produce/Direct.

My specialisms range in producing for the arts, music, cultural identities and religion. I am currently working on a 4 part documentary series for Dutch Channel NTR on integration of diaspora in Europe. I am able to shoot and can help see projects through with my PD in edits and post production as an AP. I have 7 years experience of shooting on Z1 and also 4 years experience of shooting on DSLR. I am a confident editor and very comfortable working with most editing programmes ranging from Avid and Final Cut Pro.

I am looking for challenging and engaging work and have worked within documentary factual formats but would like to work in other areas of production. I have been lucky enough to work alone and self shoot in a number of culturally sensitive situations and also directing crew within potentially dangerous situations.

The majority of my experience has been in the BBC and also a number of independant companies in the UK and abroad. I also have wwithin the the arts for a variety of different organisations and corporate clients nationally.

I have produced independant documentaries and am also commissioned regularly to produce a variety of work for independant (arts) organisations on and around a variety of issues.

Some of the subjects and issues I've covered in my recent work to be aired are cultural identiy, integration, social cohesion, the south asian diaspora.

I am also a regular contributor to a show on the BBC Asian Network and help develop ideas for radio documentary.
