Having studied Communication, Media and Culture in Athens as well as Film and Screen Media with Film Programming and Curating pathway Master in University of London, I know how to pay attention to detail, acknowledge the audience targeted and am aware of all the practicalities involved to coordinate any project.
My work experience as digital content creator in various websites, improved my skills in writing about arts and creating assets for online platforms. Moreover, working with Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and WordPress on a daily basis, enhanced my technical proficiency. In addition, working as a coordinator in Tv, film productions and the festival circuit, made me a highly organized person, as I was responsible for overseeing projects and writing reports. For example, coordinating London East Asia Film Festival, I achieved to organise screenings with 1,000 attendees in total and receive high marks according to post-screening survey. Besides, working as a production assistant in Silver Lion awarded Miss Violence film directed by Alexandros Avranas, was an eye opening experience for me. I was in charge of the coordination of crew, actors and timetable, curating screenings and events to raise funds and spread the word. The result was that I became aware of the fundamentals of shoots (sound and visual quality, placing mics, running mixers, setting up lighting), I identified various cost-saving opportunities and I became recognised by the director for increasing total income by 25%.
My job in Peccadillo Pictures focused on coordination and marketing, improved my organizational and office management skills. During my work experience in Peccadillo Pictures, I submitted trailer recommendations, screengrabs, artwork ideas, synopsis, examined subtitles - audio description - sound - image synchronisation for films and suggested ideas for marketing depending on niche audiences (outreach). Plus, I monitored SWOT meetings, prioritised tasks, implemented reports on a weekly basis. Furthermore, I produced captions in more than one language and synchronised them with dialogues and image. What is more, I maintained Peccadillo Youtube channel that gained thousands of new subscribers and surpassed one million views. Last but not least, I applied SEO strategies and Influence Marketing methods for social media content to boost rankings and attract propagators as well as buyers. I also gained B2B & B2C experience, knowledge of proper cash handling, BBFC and film licensing procedures.
