About me
Ete Davies is Dentsu Creative's EVP/CEO, for Europe, Middle East and Africa - responsible for leading Dentsu Creative's regional practice, connecting its community of 3000 people across 31 markets, to deliver on Dentsu Creative's mission of transformative creativity for its clients and society. Since taking on this role in November 2023, he's overseeing the Dentsu Creative EMEA network win 11 'Agency Of the Year' awards across seven of it's international markets, as well as 2024 Cannes Lion Grand Prix in Creative Strategy for the highly effective 'Piece of Me' campaign for KPN.
He joined Dentsu Creative in 2022, as it's Chief Operating Officer across Europe, Middle East and Africa. where he worked to build out the strategy, capabilities, proposition and 'operating system' bringing together all of Dentsu's legacy agency brands across the region as part of the newly launched Dentsu Creative's EMEA network.
Prior to joining Dentsu Ete was CEO of Engine:Creative (now House337) where he transformed the agency - culminating in it being recognised amongst 'Fast Company's 100 Most Innovative Companies 2021' and collecting the Cannes Lion Titanium Grand Prix 2022 for the highly impactful Kiyan Prince Foundation's #longlivetheprince campaign. As well being recognised as one of Fast Company's 'Most Innovative Companies' 2023.
With over 20 years' experience in the creative sector working at some of the world's premier creative agencies including AKQA, Tribal Worldwide, Digitas and AnalogFolk where, while as Managing Director, the agency consistently ranked amongst the UK's top creative agencies and was recognised in the Financial Times 'UK Future 100'. His experience spans many sectors from Financial Services, Travel, Technology, FMCG to Automotive, for both national and global brands. He's led multi-national, multi-disciplined teams scaling from project to global network level with specialisms in Brand Advertising, Digital Experience, Innovation and Business Transformation. He's also designed, implemented and enabled business growth strategies for agencies ranging from 'start-ups' to 'mid-size'; optimised, complex, large-scale accounts, clients and agencies by creating scalable, sustainable and effective systems, processes and methods. As well as developed and led, change management initiatives for both clients and agencies, ranging from business proposition, positioning and strategy, to organisational structure and operational delivery.
Outside of his agency achievements Ete has a long history as a trailblazer and early pioneer working to ensure greater diversity, inclusion, equity and representation for underrepresented and marginalised groups across the creative industries. He continues to do this as Chair for the Advertising Association's 'All-in' 'working group for Black, African and Caribbean heritage communities and as a Board Trustee for both the Creative Foundation (UK) and MediaTrust.
Other roles Ete currently undertakes are at Guardian Media Group, and Manifest Global as a Non-Executive Director for both organisations. As well as a member of the Effie's UK council.
