About me
Dear Gemma recruitment person,
I read your job specification for 'Studio Design Manager' with keen interest and even a little bit of excitement because it appears to be right up my street skills wise and a really attractive job with an interesting company - Excellent.
In my last role at Innocent Drinks (the smoothie makers) I managed the design team and the production of all creative, everything from the entire suite of packaging to personalised event invites, so am familiar with managing a studio. I have also worked as an account manager for a design agency, during which time I was responsible for creative strategic thinking, inspiring the design team and delivering high profile design projects to demanding clients.
In both roles I have enjoyed being involved in identifying new business opportunities and product innovation, running brainstorm sessions and working with market researchers to better understand consumer thinking.
As far as your requirements go, I think I'm a pretty good fit and I hope you might agree when you see my CV. I'm also inspired by your objective for the role and by the look and feel of your business.
One other point to mention is that I have a two year old little girl (hence the recent part-time business ventures listed on my CV) so I am as a consequence a great deal more familiar with the majority of the brands you work with than a lot of people must be. In fact I sometimes worry that I know more about Peppa Pig's favourite things than I know about the news headlines but I'm hoping that in this instance that could be a bonus!
Apart from that I'm also positive and upbeat, hands on and looking for a role with an interesting company that will make the most of my varied skills base. I hope this might be just the thing.
Best wishes and thanks for your time,
Erica Quincey
