About me
I am a freelance photographer and photographer's assistant with a strong foundation of education and experience in the arts and journalism. My preferred areas of photography are portraiture, documentary, fashion and photojournalism. After graduating from Goldsmiths College (University of London) with a first class honours degree in Media and Communications in 2004, I went on to gain NCTJ-accredited journalism training together with editorial experience (as a reporter, editor and photographer) with different local newspapers and magazines. I then trained and worked as a fully qualified secondary school teacher of English and Media Studies for two years. Since September 2007, I have been working in photography in various capacities including assisting, taking on my own assignments/projects and also gaining experience of gallery work (including product sales). I have a number of professional goals in photography and am currently seeking a suitable role in which to apply myself and develop.
