Hello there Burberry!

My name's Emmet, and I'm pleased to be replying to the ad for a retoucher. I'm an Australian national, though I've been living in Germany for the past 2 years. I've settled in London with a 2 year full work visa.

I'm a photographer who's previously worked on doing a high volume of photographing and retouching of fashion, catalogue, and product photography in a commercial environment. I'm highly capable in Photoshop and the whole Adobe suite, and a Phase One Certified Professional digital assistant, so I'm equally comfortable in CaptureOne. I've completed a high-end fashion re-touching course with Natalia Taffarel. I have a fastidious obsession with colour correction, and I'm familiar with using colour charts and custom colour profiles to ensure consistently correct colours across a range of images. I'm very computer literate, and experienced in managing vast systems of organisation and distribution of images and other data under chaotic conditions.

Should it be necessary, I also own all of the equipment to carry out the above tasks. Some examples of my work can be found on my portfolio website, which you'll find linked from my CV.

When I read the job brief pretty much every line rang bells and reminded me a lot of my previous work. I think I can already get a feel for the company's needs; production of highly finished, professional images and their proper distribution under tight time constraints and other less than ideal conditions.
