About me

I up sticks from the UK for Japan in December 2016. The wondrous Japanese powder and the allure of travel was enough for me to put down my marketing tools and pick up a snowboard. I spent the winter season shredding the vast terrain of the Japanese Alps. To fund this epic expedition, I worked as a chef for a lodge. I'm returning to the slopes of Hakuba, Nagano this season for round two.

Since graduating from University, I've gained experience in the marketing industry, which has developed my technical and creative skill set. I have a deep understanding of marketing strategies and how to implement them, as well as, technical (html5 and basic JavaScript) and design skills. Currently, I'm teaching English at a private school in Kyoto, Japan. I work with adults and children, delivering captivating conversation classes. Teaching English language has driven my creativity through writing.

My main interests lie with marketing, content writing, writing copy, blogging and editing. But I'm happy to broaden my horizons within the media and creative industries. I'm confident with working in a fast past environment to detailed briefs and creating engaging literature and media for appropriate audiences.
