Sir, Madam
I am honored to be here with you on the occasion of this job position in your company.
I recognize a few faces and look forward to learning more about all of you.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Emmanuelle Auny Likeng Libom, but everyone calls me Auny.
I am originally from Congo where the mix of cultures has made me want to open up to the world.
The path that led me from Brazzaville to London passes through Paris, Abidjan, Switzerland and London.
Since I was very young, I have followed my parents in their many travels around the world, where I somehow contracted the "virus" of travelling.
In the Congo, it is customary to say that the strength of a tree is in its roots. From my parents, I learned team spirit, humility and respect for others.
Very curious about the world around me, I asked very early on to work in order to acquire professional experience that would serve me in the job I already aspired to achieve later on.
I thus spent a year in Abidjan in Ivory Coast where I discovered a rich culture, and a land of socio-cultural, economic and architectural contrasts leaning sometimes between the hyper modernism, even futurism of Abidjan and the hyper classicism of traditional housing.
It is still the passion for travel and discovery that prompted me to move to Paris at the age of 19 to take my baccalaureate. This year was particularly rich, and I learnt a lot there.
With my baccalaureate in my pocket, I decided to leave Paris and move to London where I took a year of courses in British language and civilisation to perfect my English.
There again, I evolved in an international environment with students from all over the world. So, I was able to discover many cultures and their richness.
These experiences shaped me and gave me a real ability to adapt and a taste for others.
It is said of me (you will soon realize it) that I am a good companion who enjoys being part of the team, full of enthusiasm and energy. My friends also say about me that I am sensitive, reliable and able to really listen.
Growing up in Africa made me aware of tangible human issues at a very early age.
So, at the age of 15, I organized with my classmates a ball for Congolese high school students, the proceeds of which were donated to people in distress.
Since then, and I'm proud of it, this ball has become an institution in the country, which has allowed us to attract the attention of many stars and part of the political class to the projects that were close to our hearts.
Growing up in Africa also means constantly keeping in mind the major issues of our time, realizing how lucky we are to have what we have and learning that tradition and modernity are the alpha and omega of a rich career and a balanced life.
Like many of you, my ambition is to evolve in the field of Hospitality, Luxury and in particular in the event industry and if possible, in relation to my country of origin.
I am also very attached to ethics at all stages of a professional life, however competitive it may be.
Like many of you, I chose to join your company for its prestigious standing, training and excellent reputation.
Like you, I aspire to excellence and rigorous training and, like you, I am convinced that, together, we will be able to meet the challenges that await us and that the institution will make us the leaders of tomorrow.
I am therefore looking forward to working with you so that in a few years, we can meet again, each in our own business, in London, Shanghai or Brazzaville.
