Dear Sir/Madam at Preferred Choice,

I am a graduate in BA Hons product and engineering design. I am interested in a position at your company as I am willing to express and utilise my skills in the design industry. I am seeking to gain an opportunity to work in a professional design-working environment. As I am deeply fascinated by design and technology, I aim to expand my experience within the technical and practical aspects of designing and products making.

I have gained several key design skills, which includes technical software designing or quick conceptual illustration. I am confident with rapid prototyping and graphical display of presentational concepts. My software skills include: CAD solidworks, 3DS Max, Google sketch up, Adobe suite Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I am also very comfortable using the Microsoft office software's and I have a good ability of online researching. I believe I have a very good drawing ability and visual understanding of objects perspectives. I have gained some fundamental experiences through my time at university that could be transferred into real life working environment. These include skills such as; team working, communication, time management and organisation skills. I aim to develop my design skills, knowledge and experience to another level so I could further expand and utilise my trade for greater purposes. I believe the academic qualifications I have gained and my design portfolio reflects on my capability to be considered to be within the product design industry.

From a very young age, I have always been artistic and creative. I have a keen interest creating or modifying existing products, as I enjoy coming up with solutions, in order to enhance the functional or visual aspects of a product. The design processes of watch manufacturing and the construction of transportation vehicles has always been intriguing to myself and I intend to progress into that field of design as I continue to develop my knowledge and experiences at different working environments. The inclusion of natural forms and features from animals has always been used as inspiration to my design approach to the making of products. I enjoy exploring and analysing the details from the textures of a material or the forms and composition of an animal, as I believe there are vast elements of true beauty and realism in our natural surroundings and wildlife.

Adaptability to a different working environment is one of my strengths and I am confident I can bring new innovative ideas and practical enhancement to your company. I believe my enthusiasm and willingness to succeed in the design industry will drive me to do well in any situation or challenges I come across. It would be a dream come true if I were given the opportunity to further my skills and experience at your cooperation. I am excited about the prospect of hearing from your company soon.
