''Emma Charlton's work fills me with sensations I am at a loss to describe. In her paintings I find something timeless, something sacred; ethereal, pulsing, expanding and breath-taking. There is joy, here, too; delight, play, and indeed love. Emma's paintings fill spaces with love. They make us feel good, in perhaps the same way that a beautiful sunset might. Here are Irish pixies, Cornish piskies, Islamic djinn, the faerie world at work; ethereal spirit at play, tickling us, stroking us as a feather might, or a brush of soft wind across our skin.
