About me
It is with great interest that I apply for this position as I see it as the next step for my career and personal development.
I have spent the last six months snowboarding and working at Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada and I now intend on working in London to further develop my career.
I have two years experience as a Transportation Planner and Project Manager in one of New Zealands leading multi-disciplinary consultancies, Opus International Consultants and feel that my experience coupled with my willingness to learn would make me the ideal candidate for this job.
At Opus I was thoroughly challenged in my role and developed a vast portfolio of skills that have been a great base for my career. In my role I was often given tasks that encouraged a lot of learning and I found that I was open to a wide range of industry specialisations that has made my knowledge and skill set diverse and valuable.
In my two years as at Opus I developed a broad range of skills with my project experience focusing on strategic transportation studies, integrated transport assessments, sustainable transport and travel demand management measures and survey co-ordination and data collection. I have also gained strong experience in project management including project programming, project financials and client liaison. It was this aspect of my job that i enjoyed the most and would really like to pursue this.
I have strong communication skills both in the written and verbal form and have excellent time management. A good understanding of client relationships and expectations along with a great attention to detail are strong skills that I have developed. I also have proven skills in managing multiple projects at a time as well as ensuring projects are completed to time and to budget
I am friendly, open and enjoy working and interacting within a team environment. The qualities I hold in being an all rounder mean I am well organised with great people skills and maturity.
I look forward to hearing from you
Thanks
