Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing in response to your advertisement for a Junior Design. I am currently a Graphic Designer and Team Leader of the in-house Design and Production team at McEwan Fraser Legal having graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Graphic Design. I am extremely passionate about Graphic Design, however in particular, I have a keen eye for typography and editorial and branding. I am relocating to London and seeking my next creative role in the design and industry. I would relish an opportunity to be a part of your team to further enhance my development.

During my four years at university and the past 20 months in industry, I have developed a number of key skills that have helped me to devise solutions to any creative brief. I am competent in Adobe Creative Suite (fluent in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), as well as being able to execute Flash and HTML. I can confidently switch between executing online and print marketing and advertising campaigns, ensuring 100% satisfaction from every piece of work I do. I also relevant experience in marketing as my department is responsible for creating and producing all marketing and advertising materials for both print and web. I am also experienced in administration and through direct contact with clients on a daily basis, I have excellent communication skills.

I hold a number of transferable skills - which include working to tight deadlines, managing my own workload and organizing the workflow of my team, self-evaluating my own performance on a regular basis and working efficiently as part of a team as well as stepping up to leadership roles where necessary. In addition, I possess a great work ethic and have a real desire to succeed. I am a friendly, outgoing and confident. I am always willing to take on new challenges and learn new things and therefore believe that I would be a positive addition to your team.
