About me
Graduate from University of Leeds, specialising in print design. I have designed with a focus on interiors more so than fashion, but would love to work designing for either as I have a personal interest in both areas of Textiles.
I am willing to move for work, and am looking for a full time position designing textiles. I am a responsible, polite and reliable worker with proven experience in design, print, trends identification, digital and offline marketing, teamwork, customer service and retail. I have learnt many key skills through my degree at University of Leeds, such as structuring a repeat style, creating balance with motifs and colour, understanding colour theory, NED Graphics and Adobe skills, and an understanding of consumer behaviour. I have also had the opportunity to develop my motif making in limited palettes, and create experimental designs based on historical influences, such as historical time periods of art history and classic novels. Running my own business has given me a unique insight into the design industry, the importance of trends and marketing. and of customer satisfaction. My work at Candis Magazine and Polo Ralph Lauren has given me experience of visual display work and a proven track record as a valuable team member.
