My name is Emma Felce, and I have just graduated with a 2:1 in BA Graphic Communications and Typography at the University of Reading. I saw your advert for a junior artworker on creativepool.co.uk, and would love to work for you. I have enclosed my CV and portfolio, which display my skills as a designer. I feel that the vacancy currently available at your studio is ideal for me, because I am very passionate about design. I am very organised and have a good eye for detail. I am also good at working to tight deadlines and have strong typography skills. I am very competent in all the main design software, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office. I am also familiar with Quark Express and have basic HTML/CSS knowledge. During my time at the University of Reading, I have also been taught how to work within existing design guidelines and set up documents for print, through the Real Job scheme that the Typography department offers. This scheme has also given me two years experience working with clients and printers in real life situations, as opposed to just completing lecturer-set projects. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my real jobs, as I love working alongside other designers, printers and clients to completely understand the requirements of each brief and the needs of the users, and to produce the best outcome possible.
