Emma Chiu is the Global Director of Wunderman Thompson Intelligence, the agency's in-house futures and innovation think-tank. Her mission is to understand how the world is and is not changing to best advise organizations on how to transform for the future.

Emma has helped lead the creation of future-focused trend including Wunderman Thompson's hotly anticipated The Future 100, an essential trend almanac offering a snapshot of the most compelling trends to keep on the radar, both of Wunderman Thompson's industry-leading reports on the Metaverse ('Into the Metaverse', September 2021 and 'New Realities: Into the Metaverse and Beyond', May 2022), and The Privacy Era. These in-depth thought-leadership studies have gained global coverage in the likes of The New York Times, VOGUE and Washington Post, and have established Wunderman Thompson Intelligence as an integral strategic foresight unit within the WPP network.

But beyond analysing trends, Emma helps make the future a reality. She consults with clients to build long-term strategies based on qualitative and quantitative insight that incorporates cultural and behavioral change, sector innovation and zeitgeist shifts for some of the most influential companies around the world including The Coca-Cola Company, Unilever, Microsoft, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Emma is passionate about advocating for the next generation of creatives. She is part of the advisory network for OK Mentor and a 2022 ambassador for Women in Innovation (WIN). She is also a member of the Effie Awards, Creative Review Awards and Adobe Artist Awards judging panel in 2023. In 2022, Emma was named one of the top advertising executives leading the Web3 and metaverse charge by Insider. In addition, Emma regularly speaks at international conferences including CES, SXSW and Cannes Lions.
