About me
Dear Sir/Madam
I am applying for the position of Junior Integrated Designer as I am passionate about all aspects of design and particularly love being to push boundaries and expectations to connect with people in innovative, engaging ways.
I have a history in Graphic Design and have previously worked within a fast paced company which is known for it's diversity of work. This position allowed me to explore new opportunities whilst honing my technical skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as well as some After Effects and Premier Pro. The majority of the work was in advertising and marketing; projects included large scale print adverts, television spots, websites, brochures and exhibition graphics. As well as this, I also took the leadership in a long running project assisting in the production of an international animated film; this involved both scheduling, budgeting, event planning, and constantly liaising with clients in Japan and LA whilst taking control of casting and filming in the UK. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my team as well as being able to work closely with a range of clients to bring projects all the way from concept to production.
I enjoy approaching design primarily from the audience's approach, attempting to look at it with a new perspective in order to ensure the message is coming across clearly and accurately whilst at the same time, catching their attention and intriguing them. I have a first class honour degree in Graphic Design from the Arts University Bournemouth where I discovered my keen interest in conceptual and socially engaging design. I take each project as it comes and try to fulfil a brief in a considered, innovative way whether that be through print, digital media or experiential design.
For the past six months I have been travelling around Asia and Australasia, a fantastically rewarding experience which has opened my eyes immeasurably to art and design around the world. We visited a number of galleries and museums and it was fascinating to see the diversity, not only of the work itself, but also the way that each culture approaches these things. The trip has hugely impacted my understanding of how important attention to detail can be; for example when designing for an exhibition, it's the small details such as clear wayfinding and consideration of the visitor which can make all the difference.
As I hope you can see, I am passionate about design as well as focused and adaptable, I believe that I could be a strong asset to your team and bring fresh and exciting ideas into the mix.
.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours Sincerely,
Emma Bryden
