About me

My name is Emily Swan. I have recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University where I studied Textile Design for three years.

My keen enthusiasm for textile design derives from my passion for intense colour and elaborate surface pattern.

My most recent collection consists of a range of dynamic fashion prints, inspired by the theme 'Bewilder Beasts', with reference to cultural influence and urban streetwear aesthetics.

My interest in art and illustration was constantly reflected throughout the project. I have explored bold and graphic detail whilst still focusing on inricate and illustrative elements. I am intrigued by imaginative and mystical compositions and eccentric painterly patterns.

I set out to challenge my technical ability in order to demonstrate an exciting, innovative and diverse approach to digital print.

I am now looking for a job within the industry so I can practise and build on the skills I have learnt.
