About me

I am writing to you to tell you a little about myself in case a suitable position arises in the company that I might be considered for and informed about.

I have recently finished my degree in Fashion Enterprise at the University College for the Creative Arts in Epsom. As well as teaching me all there is to know about fashion designing, this degree has focused around fashion in its entirety allowing me to have an excellent knowledge of the business all round.

My final year of university consisted of me working on placement with the surf wear/urban lifestyle brand Plain Lazy. This was done whilst I worked towards a live design brief at university also set by Plain Lazy for my final major degree project.

This placement helped me gain knowledge and skills relevant for industry whilst preparing me with essential fashion business and design experience. I am confident that this experience has put me at an advantage over other graduates, as I have been working in industry to fulfil a live design brief. This has given me experience of working to tight deadlines as well as designing for a specific brief/market.

I could see myself working successfully for brands directly reflect similarities to experience I have gained on placements and to work in my portfolio. However as you will see from the experience and skills listed on my CV I see myself as a very adaptable designer as well as someone who excels by being given a new challenge and would therefore be excited to take up any new opportunities offered to me.

I am a confident and hardworking person with a lot of enthusiasm for my future in the fashion industry. I believe I can bring fresh ideas and creative keenness to a company that together with my skills would hopefully make me a potential candidate for appropriate positions
