I am a creative, enthusiastic and conscientious employee with a passion for writing, research and learning. Skills

For the last four years, I have been working towards my degree in Literature with the Open University in my spare time. This has given me great experience in time management skills and deadline awareness., In February 2012, one of my short stories won a flash fiction competition and was published in an e-book. In my spare time, I write a fashion based blog and create web content on a freelance basis. I contribute to an online fashion magazine, Lady M Presents, as well as writing short fiction stories. In the past, I have written product copy for an online bathroom company and reviewed household products for a company based in the US., I am confident in using the following software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Open Office, Scribus,my current company's bespoke database, Internet Explorer, Firefox; various content management systems such as WordPress, Blogger and MailChimp; social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pintrest.

Sector Experience

My background is mainly in marketing and copy. I contribute and create promotional literature and material for the company including trip information packs, web content, monthly newsletters and blog updates. I proof read and edit work of my own, and that of others, before publishing or sending to print. I am 'tester' for the company website, collaborating with our web support team to test the system and report bugs., In previous roles, I had to work to tight deadlines and ever changing briefs as well as travel for my job. I was responsible for the creation and production of promotional ideas and literature; marketing data collection and analysis; liaising with external marketing teams; press release creation; involvement with local universities and charities; organizing adverts; sourcing promotional materials and brand awareness.
