Emily Breakell MISTD

Graphic Designer/Typographer

I have just finished a BA Graphic Design course at Teesside University, graduating with First Class Honors.

I am fascinated by Graphic Design. Love Print and Publications, Image and Illustration, but my absolute passion lies in Typography. I feel concept, craft and execution of ideas are key to an engaging, successful design.

I am an extremely well driven individual who is focused and ambitious as well as having a creative head on her shoulders.

I am capable of creating experimental and considered design responses through both hand generated and Mac processes.

Recent design activity.

I have just carried out a 1 month placement at Rose Design in London, and 2 month placement at Black Dog Publishing, also in London.

I exhibited my work at 'Design Event 08', collaborating with London agency HudsonBec, Newcastle in October and at D&AD graduates design show 'New Blood', June 08.

I have recently gained a Merit from the International Society of Typographic Designers Accreditation Scheme. Awards are given for excellent typographic skills and interpretation along with a good knowledge and understanding within the field. March 08
