I would like to apply for the Copywriter job you are advertising on Creative Pool. I work as Goods Lead Editor for Groupon UK and Ireland, where I write and edit creative and informative copy for the websites, manage a team of writers, and am involved with making creative decisions.

I have written advertorial copy for extensive different industries, from beauty, to travel, to food, and have worked on pieces for high-profile partners such as LOVEFiLM and GlaxoSmithKline. Since starting at Groupon, I have been closely involved with developing the house style, creating ways of representing different industries and products, and pitching ideas to my own and other departments. One of my major achievements has been to develop a format for Goods deals that is now being used across Groupon UK and America.

I love the craft of writing, finding creative solutions and answers, and am full of ideas to offer. I am comfortable writing in a broad range of styles, from humorous, playful copy, to persuasive sales copy. I have a good sense of tone, and understand the subtle implications of language choices.

In addition to this I have experience writing in various other capacities, from freelance work for a food blog called iLoveMyGrub.com, to my own writing such as poetry and a novel completed during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) last year.
