About me
On a personal note, I see video editing more of a hobby, rather than a job. From the age of 12, I have been obsessed with making films and providing an experience and emotional response for the spectator. In view of this, I set up Awakening Productions and have since made many films under this name, all of which can be found on my website.
During my time at university, I was able to identify how important project management is and was able to meet tight deadlines and overcome obstacles using my own initiative. I used this to my advantage, which helped me achieve first class honours. I have years of experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro CC, which is the source of all the films I have created. Furthermore, I know my way around After Effects and Da Vinci Resolve.
In 2015, I worked for a company in Central London called Tracc Films. Here I edited a number of corporate documentaries, mostly for the Telegraph Business Club.
During my recent employment, I have worked with a number of high profile companies including the Olympics and Formula E. Although offline editing is my forte, I have experience in mass media management, logging and transcoding files, backing up footage and audio correction. Additionally, I am a keen filmmaker and have experience in shooting and editing my own films and documentaries, as well as creating pieces for different companies and having a credit on a feature film. I consider myself as someone who thrives under pressure as well as having the ability to pick things up quickly.
I have worked with clients in the past and know what it takes to work at a fast pace but yet still maintain the highest quality of work. As well as this, I am not afraid to speak up if there is an issue but at the same time I am happy to sit back and ingest what other people have to say and hopefully learn from them.
