About me
I am a 34 year old Creative Director, Film Director, illustrator, Art Director and Production designer.
My career started in film and TV started as at any early age, shadowing my father and gaining vital experience on set of large blockbuster art departments.
Studying at Chelsea college of art for my foundation fdegree (Merit) and then onto to Nottingham Trent University, where i gained a 1st Class honours in Design for Film and Television. Whilst at university I also studied a Film production degree, shooting several of my own shorts and music videos and animations on the side of the my main BA degree. I won a Limelight award for Best Music Video in 2011. This is when i realised i wanted to direct as a hobby and one day a career.
ART DIRECTOR
After graduating I went to work on Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows, which started my career in Film art departments. Working as a trainee, then draughtsman, concept artist and now a Production Designer / Art Director. I worked on Films such as Paddington, Last Days on Mars, Sherlock Holmes
PRIME CUTS
From I ran Prime Cuts, a Film Festival for graduates of motion arts degrees across the UK. The unique festival became a gateway festival for Raindance and other major film festivals. Prime Cuts was sold in 2014 and still goes on today as Visual Communications Section at New Designers event annually at The Business Design Centre.
PLONK GOLF
In 2014, whilst working freelance as an art director and concept artist I started Plonk Golf. London's first pop up mini golf bar. The company went from success to success and 5 years later we have 4 permanent mini golf bars across London. Over the years i designed the venues, ran financials, created the companies marketing strategies and content, directed films, drew up commissions, illustrated posters, and handed out golf clubs to fun loving Londoners.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and being eager to work on new creative projects, I passed down management of the company to a new partner so i could come back to film and the arts.
I am now back in Film as a freelance Art Director, Concept artist and Creative Industries consultant for start up projects and in project development.
