Dear Sir/ Madam,
My name is Elliot Baggott and I am writing in response to your opening for a 2D Illustrator as advertised on the Creative Pool website. I have the skills and experience you are looking for in this role:
-Skilled Illustrator, confident working in both freehand and digital formats.
-Practical experience in producing digital artwork, both for companies and my own self-directed projects.
-Able to manage a wide range of conflicting priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
-Adept at all aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
I am an Illustrator and Comic Artist with experience in producing artwork for both print and digital formats. I'm confident with both freehand and digital drawing, and have developed my own well-defined visual style. I have experience of working to briefs and providing design concepts to strict deadlines, and I enjoy working with clients to develop imaginative solutions.
I currently work at Giant Sparrows, an internet-based startup that produces customised smartphone cases on a Print-on-demand basis. As Print Technician, I manage all aspects of the daily print run, and work closely with clients such as the British Museum to ensure accurate colour-matching. I also create new original designs, Illustrations and patterns for our range of cases.
In addition to the daily print run at Giant Sparrows, I manage a wide range of other tasks, including customer enquires, large trade orders, general studio maintenance and dispatch, all to a strict daily schedule. I manage my time effectively and can handle a diverse range of on-going tasks.
I am skilled at using all aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) to create and edit artwork. I am confident at using both Mac and Windows OS, and in preparing digital files for print.
Please find my CV and Portfolio attached. At time of writing, my portfolio website is currently under construction, and can be found at the temporary URL
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely,
Elliot Baggott
