About me
I am currently an undergraduate in English and Politics at the University of York. On finishing my degree in June, however, I hope to move into the design field. To this end, I have been extremely involved in York's student newspaper, Nouse. As editor of the publication's 24-page features and arts supplement, I designed and layed up upwards of 10 feature pages for every edition, as well as working with editors in the lay-out of the six reviews pages. Additionally, for each edition of the supplement I created an original front cover based on one of the main features. Throughout the year I was also involved in the layout of news and sports pages, including pages for a one-off graduation special in a broadsheet format. As such, I am fluent in Quark XPress, Adobe inDesign and Photoshop, and have experience of a broad range of newspaper and magazine design.
