About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I write to you as the current Creative Fashion Editor of Pigeons & Peacocks magazine and would like to take this opportunity to apply for the position of Junior Artworker.
Distributed worldwide by Comag with a print run of 30,000 copies, Pigeons & Peacocks has just released its most recent issue entitled 'Global.' It encompasses different creatives from all around the world. I am in charge of all aspects of the visual content for the magazine, print and online including social media. Shooting and styling editorials, researching, creating mood boards, casting, production and logistics of all visual pieces. Going to all fashion weeks, graduate fashion week, press days and meetings with PR's which would stand me in great stead for the future in the fashion industry.
Previously to that I was manager of an e-commerce and retail store, 'The Dresser' where I had to organise all aspects of in-house retail marketing, for the website and social media. Designing brochures, photographing garments, creating layouts for the website using Mac products in Adobe Indesign and Photoshop software.
As I currently work as a visiting lecturer and practitioner at London College of Fashion, I constantly have to provide feedback and guidance to hundreds of students regarding their creative work and studio practice. I have no problem in overseeing large projects and I would take great pleasure in the running of the creative department. I really enjoy collating, organising and arranging photoshoots, checking images, art directing visuals either photographic or graphic based. It is something that I am very passionate about and would love to be a part of a growing online retailer.
Art and creative direction is something that comes first hand to me, I have the ability to juggle a heavy workload which is proof of my teaching and magazine experience. I possess all the skills required for the job published and I would love the chance to put my stamp on a new venture and brand.
Thank you for considering my application. I am available for interview and I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Ella Louise Sullivan
