About me

While growing up, I learned quickly that fashion was the perfect way to bring joy to others. It allows for both self expression and self discovery. Knowing this, I began to study Art+Design, hoping to be design the "next big thing" in fashion.

As I worked my way through college, I became experienced with the:

◃Creative process (at University Theatre),

◃Operations management (at Francesca's), and

◃Sales relationship management (at Fossil).

I also learned to meet tight deadlines and began to realize what keeps every successful business running smoothly: a well crafted supply chain.

This realization lead to a change in degree. Fashion and Textile Management was the right path for me. Pursuing this degree and NC State's College of Textiles gave me experience:

◃Working with vendors,

◃Maintaining client relationships, and

◃Developing brand marketing programs.

It also opened my eyes to the world of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)--and how CSR is a defining factor in consumer purchasing behavior.

With a little help from work and university, I discovered the best way for me to stay involved with fashion/textiles and have a positive impact on others. Moving forward in my career, I hope to work with a company that takes CSR seriously. I would like to make an impact, not to just for the betterment of the company's image, but for the betterment of the bottom line.
