Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing in regards to a position advertised. In addition I have attached a copy of my CV that you can look over. I am an 2011 graduate from Roehampton University in which I achieved a 2:1 BSc (hons) in Marketing

After reading all the requirements that are expected, I do believe I'm competent to full fill the position. Studying Marketing as a degree has allowed me to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge in the open world. The way in which I have studied this course and the different situation I have been put into over the three years I have been in higher education has assisted me in understanding the career that I could consider see myself working in. In the past 3 years I have covered a wide range of modules like; people and the organisation, business ethics, change and innovation, marketing research, marketing management, economics and business law. Studying this degree has given me an over view of businesses as a whole and allowed me to have a deeper understanding of differ types of organisation in which I may find myself in.

I've been working since the age of 16, mainly in retail/sales. I understand that working in these types of organisations differ from the corporate working world; however my experience on shop floors and reaching sales target has enabled in a variety of ways, also my education aids me in taking up a graduate position and working above and beyond expectation. Working in retail/sales has given me the opportunity to bring what I was taught at university to work and it has enabled me to apply these skills first hand. I believe these skills give me the upper hand where ever I work both towards the theory and practical aspect.

I consider myself to be a well organise individual, especially when it comes down to work. I am hard working which I believe will get me very far in life. I will be available for an interview as soon as it is convenient for you to schedule one.
