About me

As you will see from the attached CV, I achieved an A*grade for my A-Level Photography, which included a mark of 100% in my digital manipulation unit.

Photography has inspired me from a young age. My A-Level course helped me to realise that, whilst I enjoy being behind the lens, I am also very interested in the post production, in particular retouching and digital manipulation.

On leaving school I made the decision to concentrate on building up my Photoshop skills and felt that the best way for me to do this was to get straight into the industry. My three month placement at Stanley's Post, a retouching company in Covent Garden, gave me a valuable insight into the use Photoshop and Apple Macs in a professional environment.

I was shadowing senior retouchers and their guidance gave me the opportunity to improve my retouching skills and practice techniques used in the industry. I have complimented this experience with independent study of Photoshop using Adobe's Classroom in Book and practising techniques on photographs I have taken myself.

During my placement I was responsible for general administration tasks including delivering and collecting to and from clients.

My voluntary work at Mill Mead Primary School has helped me to gain further administrative and organisational skills. I am often left to manage my own workload.
