About me
I'm a writer, filmmaker and trend researcher from London and I've just graduated from the Royal College of Art with a master's in Critical Writing in Art and Design.
Up to now my writing and research has focused on contemporary aesthetics, visual culture and trend mapping. My MA thesis/final project was a book titled 'Incongruity Lolz: Investigating an aesthetic of absurdity, affect and identity construction in post-digital visual culture' — it begins asking questions about the recurring slices of pizza on Miley Cyrus' Instagram and her millions of followers, and moves into an exploration of the incongruous and often absurd visual culture of the Tumblr generation, spanning incongruity from Salvador Dali's Lobster Telephone to an interview with Shia LaBeouf. I also made a short video as an informercial/documentary/trailer to the project which you can watch at .
Since then I've grown increasingly interested in insights and consumer behaviour, and am looking for a full time position to get my teeth into. I'm smart, dedicated, thoughtful and (endearingly) obsessed with the internet, pop culture and emojis.
I hope to hear form you soon!
