About me

I am currently working in account management at Y&R Sydney and, after 18 months away, looking to move home to London. After working here and TBWA in Melbourne, I'm extremely excited to experience London agency side. I have varied accounts experience - from FMCG, to the very large 12-man account team on ANZ bank, to extremely fast turn-around briefs on my most recent account, Emirates. Working in VML, the digital agency at Y&R has also enabled me to gain invaluable below the line experience. I very much enjoy both the client-facing aspect of account management and the strategic side of consumerism. My academic background has meant that I am instinctively strategic, and enjoy being able to bring this to each brief I take on. In my last role I was spread over three accounts, which was dynamic and gave me extremely good experience, but I am keen to be really hands on and get my teeth into some exciting briefs and establish strong client relationships.

I have experience on globally known brands and was hired specifically on both occasions after these account wins. This has meant there has been an extremely high level performance required from me, in a number of ways. The nature and size of the Emirates account has meant our team soon needed to establish an efficient yet thorough briefing and production process to ensure a high level of quality was produced in very short time frames. Further, not only was I instantly required to establish new client relationship, but being new to agencies also required me to build new inter-company relationships, both professionally and personally. Though our team were all put in place for Emirates, we also ran other accounts. This meant each day we worked together to support each other practically and to keep the energy up during very long and intense days. My days at work spent my team and around the agency is without a doubt what I will miss most when I leave Australia. Being a good person and learning as much as I can from those people above and beside me each day is where I place the most importance. I am truly excited to join a new team and get my teeth into new projects, to the very highest standard - I have always been extremely focussed on performing to the very highest standard. I hope my next role will allow me to continue working very hard and having an enormous amount of fun.
