About me
I have a strong passion for photography and a keen interest in working with imagery. I enjoy the process of researching, taking and manipulating images and thrive on challenges and creative problem solving.
I have the ability to work both individually and as a team member and am excited by the prospect of working in a fast paced, creative environment. I have developed good time management skills during my degree and work experience placements, working to tight deadlines.
A good understanding of photographic practices allows me to experiment with ideas and produce work of a high standard with meticulous attention to detail. I am keen to continue learning and developing technical and creative skills in a range of artistic fields.
Reading a variety of newspapers, art and photography publications such as Frieze and Aperture magazine feeds my interest for visual imagery and keeps me up to date with contemporary practice.
I am competent in Photoshop, PowerPoint and Microsoft programs for both MAC and PC, with some experience of Indesign and final cut pro. I have developed good photography skills working with a range of cameras from 35mm, medium format and plate cameras. I can effectively work both in the studio and on location with portable lighting kits. I am fully competent in both the colour and black and white darkrooms experimenting with a range of darkroom techniques. I also have a great enthusiasm for digital photography, using a Nikon D80 and D200.
