About me

My name is Elizabeth Morgan, I am interested in your vacancy for a Graduate Graphic Designer. I have recently completed my Graphic Design Degree from Middlesex University achieving a grade 2.1. I believe I will be a good candidate for this position as I am a creative individual with a thirst for new experiences and ability to assimilate myself in new environments. Through my degree and previous work experience I have learnt the importance of a solid team and that individual pride in one's performance can create a smooth team output leading me to build up great communication skills. This assisted me greatly when working at Wallpaper* where we had to liaise with the senior designer and art director to ensure the magazine was up to date. I also was in charge of taking photographs of various design books/Objects that would be uploaded on the Wallpaper* website.

I have a high standard of photography skills, which is shown by my photography work I completed when working for Wordwide Communications. We worked on a shoe-based magazine used in the retailers 'Schuch'. I was in charge of photographing the shoes and also assisted on other photo shoots for the magazine making sure the props and models were in place.

My degree and past work has taught me how to work to tight deadlines whilst ensuring all my work is up to the high standard required. I am able to adapt myself within different job roles, and am a perfectionist and take each role given with extreme loyalty. My employment mirrors this by consistent six years work for Enfield leisure Centre Ltd where I worked as a duty manger, managing a team of 7 life guards, and my ability to adapt to various work experience placements and university.

In my final year of my degree I chose to specialise in Advertising and Editorial based work. Some of my work I designed, as part of a D&AD project will be published in the September 2008 D&AD annual. I created a new form of typography for Fuse magazine.
